08.18.2002 - What's the point in living if you can't feel alive?
- With over a month without updates, I felt I owed the station some new stuff. Despite the fact that I haven't updated anything I have been working with the music. Four new albums are up. First is The Essential James Bond which has instrumentals of the theme songs through GoldenEye. Next is the Tomorrow Never Dies video game soundtrack. This is the original soundtrack that was released for the game. Then I added the The World Is Not Enough video game soundtrack. It was recorded from the game and is unoffical. And lastly I added the 007 Racing video game soundtrack. This is also unoffical. Soon, I hope to have up the Other Artists page which is a collection of songs from... well... other artists. And, if and when, Twilight Of Danger is released I'll put that up too. That's it. If you are upset at me that I haven't updated in a long time then feel free to CONTACT ME!!
07.09.2002 - It was the job we were chosen for
- For those of you who are wondering... I'm still here. And I've got some new stuff for you. Any of you who play Nintendo64 knows about the game GoldenEye 007. It's not the best of Bond music but still, I thought I was pretty good. All the tracks are up and ready to be requested. But none are on the playlist. I'm also going to be added music from another game. Agent Under Fire for PS2. Stay tuned everybody. CONTACT ME!!
06.25.2002 - The pleasure was all mine.
- Well, the royality rates have been set. But I'm really confused on the whole thing. If you think you know what is going on then please CONTACT ME. But until they tell me I can't broadcast anymore I'll keep doing it. And I've got some new songs for you. For GoldenEye, I have music from the trailer. For The World Is Not Enough, I added the end title music which is really a great remix of the Bond theme. And with Tomorrow Never Dies, I've added lots of stuff. First, I have reorganized the page and put all the tracks in the order that they are in the movie. The playlist for TND now includes three different sources: The Orginal Soundtrack, Director's Cut, and TND DVD. I have pulled more then 15 tracks off of the TND DVD. Not all of them are ready though. 8 of them are up and ready to request. I should be adding the others soon. Until then... CONTACT ME!!
06.09.2002 - James Bond will return
- I need to do an update! I feel like I must! What have I been up too? Some good things. Even though Tomorrow Never Dies has two CD's... it's still not all the music from the movie. If you own the special edition DVD of TND then you know that it has a music only feature. Well, I've pulled the songs off of the DVD. The problem is that they aren't very clean. There is often a background hiss and little blips and volume spikes. So, I've spent the last 3 or 4 days(I've put well over 24 hours into there tracks) cleaning them up. There are 15 tracks and about 20 min worth of music. I'm still looking into getting the site up 24/7. I've also found and have had brought to my attention some great new music which I hope to have one the site for you shortly. And as always... CONTACT ME!!
06.04.2002 - Keeping up the British end, Sir.
- No updates for over a week? I know, I know. But don't worry. Stuff is coming soon enough. I have some big plans for the station. In a weeks time I hope to have it up 24/7. And I've got some new stuff to add to the site aswell. And I'd really like to get that features page up! I've got some cool stuff to put on there. So, stay tuned! And CONTACT ME!!
05.24.2002 - Are you sure that is all you want?
- Well, finally finals are over! Thank goodness. And a listener sent in some songs! Some tracks from the Bond Back In Action album. They were from On Her Majesty's Secret Service and Diamonds Are Forever. Thanks a bunch! These are great! I've also added two other tracks another listen sent in awhile ago. Sorry I didn't get them up sooner. They were from the same Bond Back In Action album. From Russia With Love and You Only Live Twice. On a side note, there was a big problem with a track from The Man With The Golden Gun. On the track Let's Go Get 'Em, there was a slide whistle in the middle of the track. This is where James Bond flips the car in the movie. Well, it was killing the track. So I have redone the track. I think it sounds much better now. I'd like to thank you all once again for sending in letters to Congress. It really did help! CONTACT ME!!
05.21.2002 - Which bullet has my name on it? The first or the last?
- YAHOO! What a day! The royalty rates were rejected. However they will be reconsidered within 30 days. Hopefully it will be a fair rate. So, 00.7 LIVE gets to stay up for awhile longer! I've also gotten The Man With The Golden Gun and A View To A Kill. They are up and ready to play! And as always... CONTACT ME!!
05.17.2002 - Like I said... Go see STAR WARS
- Hats off to another listener who sent letters to Congress. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. And just for you I added the quote you wanted. "I must be dreaming." A side from that, nothing else is new. I need to work on those classical pieces a bit more but I've bogged down by finals. So, stick with it. There will be some good stuff coming. On a personal note, I'm trying to keep my spirts up by not letting Congress' decision one way or the other stop me from working on the station while I still can. Until the 21st of this month, "enjoy it while it lasts..." The very words this station lives by.

- First, go see Star Wars Episode II. Second, I just got a letter from Congress. They understand that this is an issue and there are more then 20 members of Congress working towards better royalty rates! So, thanks to all of you who sent letters in. And to the rest of you... shame. Tsk tsk tsk. But don't worry. You can still listen in for the next week. Has James Bond finally met his match?

05.13.2002 - I admire your courage, Miss...
- I wasn't going to say anything but... the webpage has a stablity problem. If it gets to many hits at once it will crash. I didn't want to say anything because I'm afraid that people will crash it intentionally. But I made a change so if the webpage crashes then it won't crash the stream. That's just means you can't request but you can continue to listen. To fix this I may put the page on something like Geocities or something. But it may not be easy. If you know stuff about this and would like to help then please CONTACT ME!
05.12.2002 - We aim to please
- Well, Dr. No is up. I don't have every track but I do have most of them I think. I'm sort of happy not to have the whole CD. It awful. But hey, I just run 00.7 LIVE, so what do I know about Bond music? The saving grace is that I found a way around this! While there are no requests, the player picks a song randomly from a playlist. Well, I found that I can take songs out of that playlist and still have them be requested. So, most of Dr. No is not on the playlist but it is requestable. However, Under The Mango Tree is on the playlist. I also removed a few other songs. I've also added some other things. Some incidental musical pieces. I say pieces because they are all classical. They include songs from The Spy Who Loved Me(Mozart's Piano Concerto #21, Bach's Air On A G-String), Moonraker(Chopin's Raindrop), The Living Daylights(Tchaikovsky's Variations On A Rococo Theme), and Licence To Kill(Beethoven's Fur Elise). These are all requestable on the page of the movie they were featured in. And that's not all. I've got more music to come! And as always...

05.10.2002 - Would you settle for a tulip?
- I've added quotes for every movie except The Man With The Golden Gun. Most are pretty good but I don't like a few of them. They will do for now. I'm still not sure what to do about the Dr. No soundtrack. I think I will end up posting it because it's Bond... I wish I could say that and believe it. Perhaps I will get my features page up today.

05.08.2002 - It's a Smith and Wesson. And you've had your six.
- I'm not sure what to do about this. I feel strange. A listen sent in the Dr. No Soundtrack but... the soundtrack is garbage. It has lots of Jamacian tracks, poor poor sound quality, and nothing that I would really be happy to play(aside from Under The Mango Tree). As far as I remember, the score for the movie was good but none of it is on the album! So, I'm going to look over it and see what I think in a day or two. If nothing else I will atleast add Under The Mango Tree to the playlist. On a side note, I think we are starting to gain some ground in the Save Internet Radio battle. I've found a few news articles on it lately. But only time will tell. In the mean time... Save Internet Radio

05.05.2002 - Underneath The Mango Tree...
- I need to do a few Thank You's. Thank you to Matt, Jason, Jane-Holly, everyone who has and has yet to send the emails, and most of all... Elisa. This update is for those people. They have helped support something that means so much to me: This station. And I'm not really sure how to express how much this little thing that they are doing to help keep Internet Radio alive means to me. This started purly as a dream. An idea. Then it became a reality. I'm still not sure how. At most I have had 6 listeners at once. On average I have about 2 to 3 listeners per day. I know 3 listeners doesn't sound worth the trouble of running the station, but I do it because I love it. It's my hobby. When you guys send those letters you're not just sending them for me. You are helping a whole community. The Internet Radio community. I now know what public television feels like. With out your support this Internet Radio station and others will go away. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Just as Diamonds are... I'm indebted to you forever.

- They aren't ad banners. They're support banners. Internet Radio is about to go away forever. And not just a few sites... aside from the really big stations that generate cash flow, the rest may be going away very soon. This isn't just broadcasters problem. It's your problem too. If we go away then you can't listen to us anymore. As a broadcaster I have never asked for anything from my listeners until now. I'm asking for your help. Has James Bond finally met his match?

05.03.2002 - I told you. We're going to finish this together!
- The Tomorrow Never Dies Director's Cut is here! While it doesn't add massive amounts of music, it is more quality then quantity. Seven tracks in all. And they are in the playlist and ready to be requested. You can find them on the Tomorrow Never Dies page. And please... CONTACT ME!
05.02.2002 - You know what they say about the fittest
- Nothing really new. I just like pretending that someone out there is reading this. I got Octopussy in the mail yesterday. Well, Elisa did really. I tried to surprise her with it but that got mucked up. The second Tomorrow Never Dies CD is on it's way. Should be he by today. I'm still working on having a picture of the ablum from which the current song is playing display in the upper right corner. If that sounds like it was worded strange, it's because I couldn't find a better way to put it. I know of a few audio problems that exist. Track 2 on GoldenEye needs to be redone. And they did this wonderful thing on The Spy Who Loved Me. Two tracks fade into each other. There is no reason why. They just do. It's pretty bad. So, I'm going to play with those when I have time. I'm not to sure what to do about the trailers but I'll keep playing with them cause I think they will really add something to the station. Elisa and I plan on going to the library to start looking for some of the background music from the movies and put it in. I'll post a list of the stuff we are looking for and if any one has any of it then please CONTACT ME!
05.01.2002 - Oh, you'll see to that personally will you?
- Happy May Day. What's May Day your ask? I tribute to MayDay, perhaps? No. It's just the first day of May. I'm not sure why but it's called May Day. Nothing really new. I should have the second Tomorrow Never Dies CD by the end of the week so you can look forward to that. I'm also trying to get the audio from Bond movie trailers to put on the site but I'm not happy with the results so far. The broken picture in the upper right corner is something I trying to get to work. It should display the album of which the current song is from. I was also thinking about putting up some music that has been in the Bond movies but not on the soundtrack. Mainly, it's all classical stuff.
04.26.2002 - Q! What the hell are you doing here!
- Like I had nothing better to do today. Ok. The request page is up. Everything should be back to normal but better.
04.26.2002 - I hope I can live up to your high standards.
- There's good news and not so good news. The not so good news is that requests are still not working. However, I have added a new feature to albums. Next to most of the songs which have lyrics, I have included a link to retrieve those lyrics. If you so desire, you may sing along to these songs and raise an eyebrow or two from the people in your vicinity. I have also changed the background color on every other song title on the albums, hopefully to make your visit a little more pleasing to the eye.

04.26.2002 - All I wanted was a sweet distraction for an hour or two
- Had no intention of redoing the whole darn structure of 00.7 LIVE! But I did. And it works much better for me now. What does this mean for you? Well, two things right now. First, it means no requests. The second thing is that it will now randomly play a quote, radio spot, or audio from a trailer every 5 songs. I don't have many quotes or spots but I'll be working on that soon. OH! And I almost forgot the inspiration for that title of this breaking news. Octopussy has been added to the playlist but you can't request anything yet.
04.25.2002 - Which bullet has my name on it?
- The Spy Who Loved Me is up! It's not the best soundtrack but it does have some good tracks. The instumental version of Nobody Does It Better is excellent! And Bond 77 darn good too! The CD was a bit longer then Moonraker but with it added to the play list I now how over 11 hours of James Bond music.
04.23.2002 - Q, have I ever let you down?
- Ok. Not much is new... just a few changes here and there. I'm going to be getting rid of the Best of James Bond album page. I'm going to make just a Theme album. I've already separated the second CD and put the tracks under the correct albums. I should have more albums up within the next few days. And my girlfriend says that I sound desperate when I say anything about my CONTACT PAGE! So, maybe if people started emailing me I wouldn't have to push quite as much.

04.22.2002 - Merry Christmas, 007!
- OHMSS is here! I'm making MP3's out of it now. It should be up by tomorrow.
04.16.2002 - No, I'm just looking.
- If I keep running this site, I'm bound to run out of clever titles for news. On with the new stuff! Links page is up! Contact page is up! You Only Live Twice is up though. And there are still more soundtracks on the way. Features page is... not quite up. Just to let you know I was thinking about putting a world map on the features page that shows all the different places that have listened to 00.7 LIVE from. I was also thinking about putting up other James Bond experiences or books or things that I've learned about. If you have any ideas, please let me know! Try using the Contact page to get ahold of me cause that's what it is there for!
04.16.2002 - Grow up, 007
- I can't believe I posted such junk! More broken links and spelling errors all over the place. Most should be fixed. If you see any email me.
04.16.2002 - For my next miracle...
- I've got another album up: Thunderball. And I'd like to say I'm sorry that I didn't check my links below. The Goldfinger and From Russia With Love pages hadn't been uploaded and where broken. However, they are up now. More albums to come. I also have a basic contact and links page ready to go but I didn't get time to upload them last night.
04.14.2002 - This never happened to the other fellow
- Well, I got distracted by something. Any of you who like first person shooters might have heard of the new Star Wars one: Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast. It's a great game! And if any of you play it be sure to down load the Darth Maul skin by Jonathan O'Dell(Your Bond Radio DJ) from JediKnightii.net. The good news is that I am getting back into 00.7 LIVE. And I've got great news! Laurent, a listener, contacted me about adding a few albums to the playlist. On second thought I don't know if "a few" really says it. Lets re-write that: "Laurent, a listener, contacted me about adding SEVEN(That's right! SEVEN! Count 'em!) albums to the playlist." They include From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, Diamonds Are Forever, Moonraker, and Octopussy! They aren't all up yet because I need to download them from him when he is on. And the time difference isn't helping(I'm in California and he is in France). A side from this little add on the site is the same. I'm going to try and get the links and contact and feature page out soon aswell.
03.29.2002 - Why are you so late, James?
- I fell out of an airplane without a parachute. You don't believe me do you? Moneypenny didn't either. Any really good reason to lack of updates? No. I've gotten less done on my time off then I thought I would. But the site is back up. A few changes but nothing major. Requests are now done through the playlist. The Queue shows currently playing, next to play, and the last 10 played songs. I have yet to set up the jingles but they are coming soon. Cheers to my one fan out there. They sent me an email. You know who you are!
03.23.2002 - Sorry about that, I tuned out for a moment there, Elliot.
- I switched over to SAM. But not completely. SAM is now in control of what is playing which is good. I will be able to put in little jingles every few songs. I know that you are saying to yourself,"But Jonathan, what's a jingle?" Well, I'll be using radio spots from Bond movies, quotes from the movies, and little bits of the James Bond theme(These "little bits" are coming from the PS2 James Bond: Agent Under Fire game. I tell you how I got my hands on these another time). I think it will give the station a real down-to-Earth feel to it. The request page is offline for right now because I haven't gotten SAM to accept requests yet.
03.22.2002 - Three more ticks and Mr.Goldfinger would have hit the Jackpot!
- I can't live with the problems that my Request Plug-In has. So, I'm trying to make a change over to SAM. It's much better but different. So, I'm going to try and spend some time this coming week figuring it out. The pages might change a bit. With SAM I will be able to take requests from the album pages. If I get that up then the current Request page will be come the Queue page that shows what's currently playing, what's in the queue, and the last 10 or so things played. Bare wih me!
03.21.2002 - Licence To Broadcast
- After eagerly sitting by the window, face pressed up against the glass, Licence To Kill finally showed up. I believe I scared the mailwoman, jumping over the lawn in a quick, Bond-like manner. Certain pages have been updated, such as the album page. You can now click on the link at the top of the Licence To Kill album to request songs. Apparently, the British find it ammusing to spell everything differently, so the spelling of Licence To Kill is correct according to Her Majesty (in America, it is spelled "License").

03.20.2002 - Just some small stuff
A few changes here and there. I have a few things planned like completing the contact page so people can talk to me and start getting the word out about this place. Right now the only people who know about it are the people who have found it on Shoutcast. I was also thinking of add a World Map Feature where I can plot all the different places that my station has been heard. I was really excited the other day about someone who connected from Japan. And I also saw Birmingham, England yesterday. And please!!!! If you like the site then send me an email! I love hearing from you guys!
03.19.2002 - Nothing Special
- Didn't really add anything. Moved some files around for my own sanity. Licence To Kill should be here within the week. Maybe even today.
03.18.2002 - Temporary Guestbook
- So, maybe it's more like the 19th early in the morning and maybe I should be working on an oral presentation I have to give tomorrow but hey... this is fun stuff. I setup an Ezboard that will serve as the Guestbook for now. Stop by and sign it. |
03.18.2002 - For Your Eyes Only, Darling
- For Your Eyes Only came in the mail today. There are 19 tracks total and it has a playtime of almost an hour. I've got the album page set up on the Playlist so take a look at make some requests.
03.17.2002 - Irritating Request Page Problems
- I had the request page setup wrong. The problem was that when anyone requested a song it
would return an error. However, the song would still be put into the queue. It should now
work fine in that if you request a song you it should return you to the same page, say
"Request Accepted", and put your song into the queue. Let me know if you are still having
problems.
03.16.2002 - Playlist Completed
- Added all albums and tracks to the playlist. I'm hoping to set it up so you can request a song right from the album page.
03.16.2002 - Try to be a little less than your frivolous self OO7
- I took the Thunderball Suite from the second disc of The Best Of James Bond and turned
it into 8 different tracks: Bond Meets Domino, Lights Out For Paula, For King & Country, Bond
With SPECTRE Frogmen, Leiter To The Rescue, Bond Joins Underwater Battle, Death Of Largo, and End Titles.
03.13.2002 - No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!
- Added a few Goldfinger tracks from the second disc of The Best Of James Bond: The Laser Beam,
Golden Girl, Death Of Tilley, Pussy Galore's Flying Circus, and a version of Goldinger by Anthony Newley.
03.07.2002 - Now Open For Requests
- 00.7 LIVE can now take requests! Check it out!
You can look at the playlist and select a song from it or look at tracks from a certain
movie with the Soundtrack pulldown menu. You can request a max of 10 song an hour.
03.05.2002 - 00.7 LIVE is Born!
- 00.7 LIVE went live. Some of you may have heard the station before it became 00.7 LIVE.
The old title was Universal Exports: Secret Agents in Training.
